We are making photographs to understand what life really means to us - ralph hattersly

In a world that never slows down, the most meaningful moments often slip by unnoticed — the softness in a laugh, the way your child’s face changes as they grow, the tenderness of connection, the ache of goodbye. My work exists to preserve the honest, human parts of life that matter most.

I’m Amanda, a Northern Colorado photographer specializing in styled lifestyle sessions, emotional documentary storytelling, and grief work. Photography has been my way of holding onto the world since childhood, and in 2012, when my husband asked what I’d do if money didn’t matter, the answer was immediate: this.

Over the past decade, I’ve photographed everything from weddings in the Rockies to families, newborns, seniors, and editorial portraits. After losing my son Remington and navigating significant health challenges, my focus shifted toward authenticity — capturing real life, not curated versions of it.

Today, I create images that feel lived-in, emotive, and true. Whether your story is joyful, messy, raw, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a safe space here. I also continue to offer select elopements and Orthodox Christian weddings.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m with my boys — Hudson, Athen, and August — most often golfing, swimming, or dancing in our kitchen.

I can’t wait to hear your story and create something meaningful together.
